Trees and Vines
Tree fruit and vineyard research trials are conducted on-site and in grower managed orchards and vineyards. Our research farm contains permanent plantings of apples, plums, peaches, cherries and apricots. Most of our trials, however, are conducted on commercial farms, which offer the advantage of specific disease and pest pressure and maintenance under standard commercial practices.

Our tree and vine research program includes small and large plot trials which generate data for product development, California registration requirements, and marketing strategies.

These studies include:
  • Phytotoxicity
  • Plant Disease Control
  • Insect Control, Including Effects on Beneficial Insects
  • Mite Control
  • Herbicide/Surfactant Evaluations
  • PGRs
  • Fertilizers/Nutrient Uptake Studies
  • Laboratory Bioassay
